Arthritis & Rheumatology Center is excited to announce the addition of our new rheumatologist, Dr. Javeria Bhawal. Dr. Bhawal is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and has a fellowship in rheumatology.
Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Bhawal moved to the United States after graduating from Islamic International Medical College in Pakistan. She then pursued internal medicine residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, New York.
Through residency, her love for rheumatology increased, leading her to a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Her care philosophy has always been to care for patients to the best of her ability. She treats many conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, pseudogout, sarcoidosis, Wegener's granulomatosis, and other forms of vasculitis and polymyalgia. She also treats osteoporosis and osteoarthritis pain.
In her spare time, she enjoys interior design and spending time with her children.
Dr. Bhawal is Fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, and Punjabi.
