Dr. Mehrin Jawaid is board certified in rheumatology and internal medicine. She joined Arthritis and Rheumatology Center August of 2022. After completing high school in Nashville, TN, she moved to Georgia and completed her undergraduate education at Emory University. She then earned her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia. She completed her Rheumatology fellowship at HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Florida.
Dr. Jawaid was drawn to rheumatology because she enjoys seeing the transformative power of appropriately managed autoimmune conditions which can transform patients with high level of functional impairment back to their baseline level of function. She values shared decision making and doing what is right for the patient. Her goal is to provide excellent patient care and make meaningful changes in her patients' lives.
Dr. Jawaid is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, Georgia Society of Rheumatology, Association of Women in Rheumatology, and American College of Physicians.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Jawaid enjoys trail running, traveling, experimenting in the kitchen, as well as spending time with family and friends.
