Arthritis & Rheumatology Center is excited to announce the addition of our new rheumatologist, Dr. Ronak V. Patel. Dr. Ronak is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and has a fellowship in rheumatology.
Born in India and raised in Alabama, Dr. Ronak completed his bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University in Alabama. He earned his medical degree from the Saint James School of Medicine in Anguilla. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Louisiana State University HSC Lafayette, Louisiana, and completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Ronak believes proper patient education and medical guidance is fundamental to developing a collaborative approach to patient care. His goal is to incorporate innovative diagnostic tools and therapeutic interventions with natural lifestyle approaches to form a comprehensive plan that is individual to his patients. He believes in empowering patients to take ownership of their disease and incorporating nutritional and lifestyle changes to minimize impact and recurrence of inflammatory conditions. He is here to support and join forces with his patients against their diseases.
Dr. Ronak is proficient in English and Gujarati and is able to effectively communicate in Hindi and Urdu.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ronak enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, playing golf, and watching college football.
