Michelle M. Leiva, PA-C, joined the Arthritis & Rheumatology Center in July 2024. She grew up in south Florida, and she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Florida International University and her Master of Medical Science in physician assistant studies at Nova Southeastern University.
Michelle chose to specialize in rheumatology immediately after graduating due to her interest in autoimmune diseases and chronic conditions. She believes that quality patient care begins with establishing good communication and patient education.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, family, and her dog (Kane). Michelle is bilingual and speaks English and Spanish.
